Founded in 1961, School of Mathematical Sciences consists of the

departments of Mathematics and Statistics and has 45 faculty members and

approximately 1300 students, of whom 170 are registered in graduate

programs. The School of Mathematical Sciences offers three programs of pure

mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics at bachelors, masters and

PhD levels.

Both Mathematics and Statistics Departments were declared ?Centers of

Excellence? by the Ministry of Sciences, Research and Technology in 2000 and

have retained the status since.
